Gravel Muster
A stunning ride through the dry rocky hills surrounding Middlemarch
Climbing up through the Nenthorn with spectacular views over the Strath Taieri with its large glacial valley and river plateau. Pass through the ancient "Foulden Marr" fossil site which is estimated to have formed some 23 million years ago! The rugged hill ranges farmed with the country's finest Merino are also 'home' to the 'Musterer'. The event starts and finishes at the Railway Station on Snow Avenue, Middlemarch.
There are two distances on offer, with three competitive classes in each distance and separate age groups for both males and females. A new points system will be introduced this year. Points will be rewarded by finishing order, i.e. one point for first, 2 points for second etc, with final series placings determined by the lowest combined score from your best three events.
